Business Photo Collage Process

The first step in the collage process is to discuss the project and what your goals, vision and usage of the collage will be. I will talk about your business or the product being represented so that I can learn what your existing business image is about.

I will want to know if you have imagery in mind, and if you have digital photos available that are royalty-free, or if I should plan to provide photos. If you are providing photos, I like to have at least a dozen images to choose from in montage of 3-5 images - the more I have to choose from, the better. This allows me to put together the best combination of size, texture, color, shape, and other aspects of the collage. Believe it or not, not every photo works in a collage and I will ask that you trust me on which ones will provide the best results. The images also need to be in a high enough resolution for the final collage to meet your printing or web requirements without a loss of clarity.

Only after these issues are discussed can I provide an estimate for the project. Once the project begins, I will provide you with a first draft of my collage concept, for review on the web or in a PDF. After a review and discussion, changes will be made if necessary and final elements such as text may be added. Depending on our agreement, the collage will be provided to you in the format you require, by email, on a CD or in a print output.
